Naples Jet Center, under the visionary leadership of President Bruce Byerly, takes immense pride in a rich legacy deeply rooted in aviation. Bruce Byerly, with a storied history in the industry and previously serving as Naples Jet Center’s Vice President, identified the burgeoning potential of Southwest Florida’s aviation market. In 2020, he realized this vision by acquiring the Jet Center, further enriching the aviation landscape of Naples Municipal Airport (KAPF).

We Cater to Diverse needs

Naples Jet Center embarked on its journey in 2007, with an initial focus on maintenance and basic Fixed Base Operator (FBO) services. Over the years, our maintenance department has flourished into an FAA Part 145 repair station, an authorized Embraer service station, a Twin Commander service center, and a Garmin service center and channel partner. This extensive expertise allows us to cater to the diverse needs of our aviation community.

We offer a wide array of aviation services designed to cater to both our loyal tenants and transient visitors. New Facility & Expanded Hangar

To better serve our valued customers and the ever-growing business jet fleet of operators, Naples Jet Center is investing significantly in the future. We are currently developing a state-of-the-art, multi-million-dollar facility and expanded hangar at the KAPF field, designed to meet the evolving demands of the aviation industry.

Bruce Byerly

Owner

Bruce is a third-generation aviator with an unwavering passion for the aviation industry. As the steward of a century-old family aviation legacy at Byerly Aviation in Peoria, IL, he is deeply committed to serving the growing Naples aviation community. With a degree in economics from Vanderbilt University and an impressive Airline Transport Pilot certificate, Bruce boasts over 11,000 flying hours and 6 type ratings in various aircraft, including maintaining single-pilot currency in the Phenom 100 and 300 jets.

Naples, Florida, has been Bruce’s family haven since 2007, where he shares the sunshine with his wife, Lynn, and their three adventurous children: Amelia, Claire, and Nico. When he’s not soaring through the skies, facilitating aircraft transactions for clients worldwide, or expanding his family’s aviation legacy, you’ll find Bruce Byerly enjoying the great outdoors with his loved ones or indulging in his passion for racing sports cars. His multifaceted interests and unwavering commitment to excellence make Bruce a true trailblazer in the aviation industry.

Dave Stetson

Vice President & Director of Maintenance

Dave hails from a storied aviation lineage, spanning three generations. He and his wife, Lynzee, are proud Naples’ natives and are delighted to have their two daughters following the same tradition. In 2013, Dave embarked on his career journey at Naples Jet Center, shortly after obtaining his A&P license from a local technical school. Over the years, he diligently climbed the ranks within the company and now takes pride in leading a team of highly analytical and critical-thinking individuals as Director of Maintenance. Outside of his professional life, Dave finds joy in spending quality time with his family, enjoys all things mechanical and football season.

Scott Edwards

Avionics Manager

Scott started his aviation career with the US Air Force in 1980. For 10 years he worked on the B-52 and B-1B aircraft in Louisiana and North Dakota. After leaving the military, Scott worked on large cargo aircraft at Tennessee Technical Services and then joined Embraer Aircraft Maintenance Services commercial and executive aircraft MRO in Nashville Tennessee. Working on all Embraer models, including the E-Jets, Legacy 600, and Phenom 100,300 aircraft.
Scott joined NJC in April 2015 as Avionics Manager. He prides himself on him and his crew providing quality workmanship and customer service.

When Scott is not working at NJC you can find him playing a lot of golf in the off season and enjoying the sun at the beach. He’s also a member of LinkedIn, USAF Together We Served, B-52 Stratofortress Association, and USAF Non-Commissioned Officers Association.

Terry Sharp

Chief Inspector

Terry began his aviation career in 1998, obtaining his certification from the Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, OK. He started as a sheet metal technician at Raytheon Aircraft in Wichita, KS, and rose to the position of Crew Chief in the final assembly department over five years, contributing to T6A-Texan II production. Later, he transitioned to Cessna Aircraft Co., specializing in the 680 Sovereign production line and customer delivery. He then worked with Lockheed Martin in Greenville, SC, performing essential repairs on Navy P-3 Orion aircraft.

In 2011, Terry found a new home in Naples, where he joined the Naples Jet Center team. His expertise and commitment have since propelled him through the ranks, from a dedicated worker on Twin Commanders and Embraer Phenoms to his current role as Chief Inspector. Outside of his professional pursuits, Terry treasures moments spent with his family enjoys the freedom of the open road on his motorcycle, and relishes relaxation by the pool while honing his culinary skills on the grill.

Chuck Farney

Maintenance Sales & Service

Meet Chuck, a seasoned aviation expert with an impressive career spanning over 35 years. His journey in the aviation industry began as an F-16 crew chief in the US Air Force. Following his military service, Chuck obtained his A&P license from Riverside School of Aeronautics. Chuck’s tenure at the Textron Aviation-Cessna Citation Facility in Orlando, Florida, was marked by his versatility and dedication. He assumed various roles, ranging from maintenance support to management and customer service support. His commitment to excellence led him to become the Southeast Regional Sales Manager for the Orlando Citation and Tampa Hawker Beechcraft facilities, all while pursuing a Business Management degree.

In 2016, Chuck made a significant move by joining the Naples Jet Center, where he found his passion for assisting our ever-growing family of aircraft owners with product support and sales. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Chuck is an active member of prestigious organizations such as the NBAA, SFBAA, Melbourne Jeep Club, and Florida Divers Club. During his leisure time, you’ll often find Chuck on the water fishing, boating, and scuba diving or lobstering/spearfishing. He enjoys vacationing anywhere tropical where the skies are blue, and the water is crystal clear!

Rene Blais

Director of Client Relations

A Massachusetts native with a passion for the skies, René’s journey began at Merrimack College in North Andover. In 2020, she embarked on an exciting career transition, leaving the hospitality industry behind to embrace her love for aviation. René’s boundless eagerness to learn and excel quickly propelled her from the role of Customer Service Representative to the prestigious position of Concierge Manager at Naples Jet Center.

René’s impact was unmistakable as she played a pivotal role in setting the benchmark for our exceptional service standards. Over time, her responsibilities continued to expand, leading her to her current role as the Director of Client Relations. René’s multifaceted portfolio is a testament to her versatility and dedication. She oversees tenant lease accounts, orchestrates memorable hangar events, and contributes to our strategic marketing initiatives. René is also an integral part of the creation and management of our boutique multi-aircraft Part 91 flight department.

Outside of her professional life, René remains an avid enthusiast of both golf and aviation. Whether perfecting her swing on Naples’ stunning golf courses or soaring through the skies, where she’s actively working towards obtaining her pilot’s license, René embodies the spirit of passion and dedication that defines the Naples Jet Center team.

Ariel Cusido

Service Manager

Ariel’s journey into aviation began with his enlistment in the United States Marine Corps back in 2011. Over the course of five years, he honed his skills, specializing in F/A-18 powerplants and line maintenance, achieving the rank of Sergeant before concluding his active service in 2016. Seeking to further his expertise, he pursued his A&P License at the National Aviation Academy, graduating in October 2019. Shortly thereafter, in December of the same year, he embarked on a new chapter at NJC, where he continues to excel in his field.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Ariel enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and dabbling in DIY project that he never seems to finish.

Paul DeChane

Line Service Manager

Paul’s journey in the world of aviation began with an illustrious 7 1/2-year stint in the Air Force, where he served as a Maintainer for iconic aircraft like the KC-135 and Air Force One. His passion for the industry led him to new horizons as he embarked on a career at the Naples Jet Center in October 2021. Starting as a line service professional, Paul quickly rose through the ranks and now proudly serves as the Line Service Manager.

Beyond his dedication to the aviation industry, Paul is charting a course towards his dream of becoming a pilot. Off the tarmac, Paul cherishes moments with his wife, Jaylene, and treasures quality time with his family. Additionally, Paul has a creative side, working on developing his own clothing line—a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit.

Tara Fletcher

Flight Operations Specialist

Growing up on an Air Force base in New Jersey, the daughter to an Airforce Veteran, Lockheed Martin technician, and sister to a pilot, Tara knew from a young age she would surround her life in Aviation.

Prior to joining us, Tara gained valuable experience as a client service representative and flight coordinator for a luxury private jet company. In her current role, she is responsible for aircraft management, aircraft charter and flight operations. Tara’s outgoing personality and care for her clients is what makes her one of the best in the industry.

Outside of her professional career, Tara is a full-time mother, flower enthusiast and avid equestrian.

Natalie Micciulli

Marketing Manager

Natalie, our seasoned marketing manager brings a wealth of experience and passion. With a degree in marketing from Florida Gulf Coast University, Natalie has cultivated a diverse professional background spanning various industries. From Automotive to heavy equipment, her journey eventually led her into the realm of aviation.

Her specialty lies in digital marketing and has a passion for crafting engaging content for social media. Hey eye for detail and strategic approach has played a role in enhancing our online presence and visibility.

Beyond her professional endeavors, she loves reading, traveling, and hanging with her faithful companion – her beloved corgi, Queen E.
